My client, one of the global leading Financial services organisations is looking to hire a systems analyst with solid financial services/investment banking background & previous experience supporting trade order management/investment management systems to join their managed services team. Successful candidate will be responsible for resolving production related issues & providing support to the managed services application. It is a client facing, business & technical position where you will be looking after the whole infrastructure platform & will be responsible for all production matters of Charles River system supporting multiple external customers. The team is growing rapidly and they will be soon moving into a bigger office which is also based in Melbourne CBD. You will be liaising with other global teams, vendors, supporting external clients providing remote management, administration & support for Charles River IMS. You will be responsible for daily operational processing monitoring & support; batch processing; patches & upgrades; administering Servers, databases, Routers, Switches; parameter configuration changes; system availability; business continuity & disaster recovery etc. You will also assist in development, enhancements & continuous process improvement for the services. Successful candidates must have the following experience:
-Proven track of record supporting mission critical production software applications such as Charles river/trade order management systems/Investment management software
-Solid experience providing 1/2nd line support
-Solid MS SQL, Sybase, Oracle database configuration, operations, basic administration functions (configuration, tuning, troubleshooting, patches, upgrades, batch processing etc)
-Previous experience working with FIX Protocol
-Solid all around Infrastructure experience, with previous exposure administering server operating systems, Routers, networks, clusters/high availability systems, job scheduling software, system monitoring software, DR/business continuity
-Outstanding customer services skills, vendor management & previous client facing exposure
-High level communication skills
