Our client provides to the rail industry a design, manufacture and installation service for general mechanical & electrical equipment. They need a seasoned Project Manager for a contract period of 12 to 18 months to manage their latest project involving cable trays. A recent, relevant, proven track record of experience in managing rail infrastructure projects is being sought. Project value is in the range of $1.5 to 2 million. The Project Manager's role profile will be to conduct a survey of all sites (railway stations, yards & tracks) and liaise with stake holders to make any design changes required to meet the tender specifications for a project to install cable trays. Technical interpretation & checking of client's requirements, preparation & writing procedures such as safe work method statements and coordinating the on-going periodical meetings with project stakeholders would also be part of the duties. Another aspect of the role would be involving checking designs, safety and environmental aspects of the project. Typical tasks will include working on site within rail industry as per procedures & manage the subcontractors/laborers on site to get the job done. The ideal candidate needs to have around 10 years industry experience with a background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and have managed at least 2 similar projects within the rail industry.
