Manager Contracts and Procurement Job in Australia

Reporting to the Operations Support Manager, you will be responsible for managing the supply of goods and services for gas pipeline assets. This will include developing and implementing a procurement strategy, plans and management of supplier contracts and relationships. The main focus will be to support the operations of the company by successfully managing price negotiation, planning, logistics and inventory management. There are three direct reports.

You will be a degree qualified procurement professional with at least five years experience within the construction, infrastructure, engineering or oil & gas industries. A sound knowledge of sourcing suppliers, tendering and negotiating contracts, accounting and audit and OH&S. Good interpersonal skills, negotiation skills and attention to detail will ensure your success. There will be some travel involved, including helicopter and light aircraft.
