This Southern Adelaide Health Service has an exciting ED RMO opportunity ready to commence in early 2012!
The health service is a community based agency that provides both acute and primary health care at the hospital and a number of community based sites.
There are approximately 50,000 patient attendances every year to the ED.
The Health Services brings together not only the acute and community based health care sectors but also private and public health services and has a strong focus on primary health care. Staff have the opportunity to contribute to this distinctive service by working towards the goal of improving the health and well-being of the community.
The hospital facility is a single-storey, modern complex in close proximity to a range of local health services, a public library, TAFE, major shopping centre and a public transport hub (bus and train). Other local attractions include the popular southern beaches, restaurants and cafes, and the local wine district - all less than ten minutes away.
Located only 35 km from Adelaide, it is a pleasant half hour's drive with the major attractions being the beach and the cliffs, the attractive historic churches in with its beach and jetty which, now that it has been by-passed, is a peaceful family holiday destination.
Selection Criteria: -
To be considered for this opportunity you will have the following:-
* MBBS
* Minimum 2 years post graduate experience by January 2012
* Current or eligible for registration with AHPRA
* Minimum of 12 months clinical experience gained in Australia
* Minimum 6 months experience in emergence medicine - gained in a comparable healthcare system to Australia - Comparable countries are:- UK, Ireland, NZ, USA and Canada
* Citizenship, current 457 visa or Permanent residence
* If your medical degree was gained in a country where English is NOT a native or first language you will be required to take an English language. Accepted English language tests are IELTS (minimum score of 7 in each category), PLAB, OET and NZREX.
