This role is responsible for the specific output of the mechanical as well as piping design section, including setting man hour budgets for engineering and drafting on projects, providing technical and commercial direction to engineers, overview design schedules and design budgets. Assisting the engineering management to assess the suitability of staff and identifying key resources for specific projects, including the professional development of engineers and lead engineers by sharing your knowledge and acting as mentor. -o:p--/o:p-
You will also be required to motivate and maintain commitment of the design personnel to provide a fit for purpose design on time and within budget. Having extensive previous experience and knowledge of specific extractive metallurgy processes and chemical engineering, operations and equipment and experience with other disciplines including plant construction and commissioning you will be a natural at delegating tasks and have extremely well developed computer skills and knowledge of databases, spread sheets and in house engineering programmes.-o:p--/o:p-
To be successful for this position you must have formal mechanical engineering qualification, a minimum of 10 years experience within the mining and mineral processing industry and excellent verbal, interpersonal and organisational skills.-o:p--/o:p-
