Minimum Requirements Successful completion of a professional nursing education and current licensure as a professional registered nurse. A Bachelor s degree is preferred. Minimum 2 to 5 years of clinical nursing experience post-registration, to include 2 years in an emergency room. Course completion in emergency care required. Duties & Responsibilities You will require a thorough current knowledge in all aspects of emergency medical services procedures and protocols and have demonstrated competency in this area. You will assist in orientation/training of new nurses under the direction of the Supervisor. You will participate in critical situations, such as internal and external disasters following standard operative procedures; triaging and monitoring; and assist in complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. In general, all work is performed on a 24/7 rotational assignment of 12 hour shifts, consisting of days and nights. Incumbents can be assigned to work in any of the five Accident and Emergency Rooms, seeing 70 to 150 patients per day.
