The Company maintains substantial links with fresh food producers and delivers, via their Sydney Value Add Centre, with exciting new products to Australian consumers including both branded goods and general fruit and vegetable lines.You will report to Head of Operations and work closely with the Manager of the Valued Added Centre and your principal responsibilities will be to maintain the excellent quality of fresh produce as well as developing new product for the domestic market. In addition to demonstrable enthusiasm for a career with fresh food, you must have: - QA experience with fresh produce; - product development experience with fresh produce; - strong, proven people management skills; - experience with state of the art processing and packaging equipment; - HACCP, SQF and WQA experience; - experience with internal and external audits; - the ability to reduce costs; - proven experience working in a fast paced environment. You must be computer literate and possess the ability to relate to and communicate with people from a wide range of backgrounds. Tertiary qualifications in food technology or horticultural related subjects will be a great advantage. An attractive base salary will be negotiated dependent upon proven experience.
