Global proprietary trading firm with significant presence in the Asia Pacific markets require an experience Software Engineer with strong C++ skills. This is a new role that will focus primarily on the ongoing development and support of a business critical position/risk monitoring application.
The Role:
Develop and maintain applications, utilities and components to support trader decision-making; manipulation and display of market data, calculation of theoretical prices, storage and retrieval of data. You will be required to liaise with traders to gather requirements and demonstrate solutions.
Your Responsibilities:
-Quickly gain an understanding of the processes and workflow on particular desks including the use of existing tools for pricing, execution, position keeping, risk analysis, trade capture and reconciliation.
-Develop new trading applications/tools.
-Provide application support - assisting users with getting the most from vendor and in-house applications used on the respective desk.
-Enhance and support existing trading applications/tools.
-Produce and maintain technical and user documentation for current critical applications and all significant new tactical developments.
-Identify opportunities for improving the accuracy and efficiency of the desk by improved use of technology.Key Requirements:
-Strong (5+ years) C++ Development Experience
-Financial Trading Systems Experience
-Knowledge of Options, Greeks, and other financial products
-Understanding of Trading and Market-Making
