Due to a strong order book for 2011/12 our client is looking to recruit an additional contracts administrator to assist on D&C industrial projects up to the value of $15 million. The client themselves have been established in the Melbourne construction market for over 15 years and have made an impressive mark on the Melbourne industrial and commercial construction market. They have a strong passion for ensuring excellence in their work and value their integrity when it comes to a quality finish.
Roles and Responsibilities:
-Preparation of subcontractor packages, scopes, lettings, procurement schedules
-Progress claim assistance and external variations
-Review, negotiate and finalise subcontracts
-Manage and track project expenditure, inclusive of subcontractor claim
-Administer RFIs to clients, architects and consultants To be considered for this position you will require:
-Experience working on complex Design and Construct Projects, ideally in excess of $10 Million
-Sound knowledge of the Victorian construction market including unions, sub contractors etc
-Strong and proven track record on industrial projects (over a period of at least 3 years at this level)
-Tertiary qualified in construction, engineering, accounting or QS or a related degree or with the equivalent knowledge, skills and experience About the company:
-Established for over 15 years in Melbourne;
-30 staff within organisation;
-Turnover in excess of $20 million for 2010;
-Hard dollar tender, repeat business and own developments;
