Our client is a leading automotive distributor with branches and operations throughout the South Pacific. They are well established and have been operating throughout the region for a number of decades and carry a number of iconic brands. We are currently looking for a Service Manager for their PNG operations who will be responsible for the operational integrity, efficiencies and productivity of the branch service operations. This position is fundamentally about productivity management, increasing market share, retaining customers and delivering profit targets nationally. Key responsibilities will include; · Ensuring activities within the service department are of the highest standard and systems are maximised to increase performance and customer retention, identifying and developing new business opportunities, effective reporting systems, minimise work in progress and ensure that this achieves company objectives. · Developing the annual budget plan, maximising sales revenue market share and gross profit margins ensuring achievement of budgeted targets, controlling all expenditure and minimising debtors amongst other standard finance functions · Promoting good health and safety practices by supporting and implementing requirements to ensure a safe working environment. · Adhering to HR guidelines, maintaining on the job training for all personnel, highlight any special needs, conduct regular staff meetings and performance reviews, lead through mentoring and coaching, and display outstanding communication skills. In order to secure this position, you must have extensive automotive service management experience including service and panels, coupled with relevant automotive and training qualifications. This person must also have excellent technical and organisational skills and be a strong leader with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
