This organisation have been making steady in roads within the commercial market for the previous 5 years and now have ambitious plans to increase their turnover by 400% over the next 5 years. Over the last 24 months they have been implementing a strong business model and are now reaping the success of their completed projects. With the above in mind they are now looking to recruit a contracts administrator. Projects will be predominantly be multi storey apartments and townhouses.
Roles and Responsibilities:
-Preparation of subcontractor packages, scopes, lettings, procurement schedules
-Progress claim assistance and external variations
-Review, negotiate and finalise subcontracts
-Manage and track project expenditure, inclusive of subcontractor claim
-Administer RFIs to clients, architects and consultants
-Administer the project HSE system To be considered for this position you will require:
-Experience working on complex apartment projects, ideally in excess of $5 Million
-Good understanding of the Victorian construction market including unions, sub contractors etc
-Strong and proven track record on commercial projects (over a period of at least 2 years at this level)
-Tertiary qualified in construction, engineering, accounting or QS or a related degree or with the equivalent knowledge, skills and experience About the company
-Melbourne based for over 7 years
-30 staff within organisation, annual turnover of $25million
-Specialists in apartment projects, currently up to the value of $15 million
-Huge growth plans for next 5 years, opportunity for candidate to move into senior management role within this period
