We are currently working on an urgent requirement for a Solution Architect to join a leading government organisation for an initial period of 6 months. Within this role, you will be responsible for development and upgrade / enhancement of the management and enhancement systems. These systems include: Incident Management System, Planned Incident System, web Services, Contract Management System, Fault Management Systems. The Solution Architecture services include; * Working with the Project Managers in the planning and design of an effective solution; * Assisting in the development of service strategy, service design, and service transition in to the business as usual operation; and * Assisting in the service governance and lifecycle ownership and performance metrics. * Communicate the architecture process, its business outcome, and ongoing results with business performance metrics. * Continually assess the inter-dependence of projects and advise on the optimum project scopes, capability and project product reuse, and sharing to ensure that TMC maximises project business outcomes. * Identify the organisational (i.e. skills, processes, structural, cultural) and financial impact of the solution SOA on the enterprise as a whole. * Complete the required Project Enterprise Architecture Alignment Testing at the specified gateways in the Project Management Process. * Support the development and execution of a communication plan (including education) for the holistic solution. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS * IT tertiary qualification from an Australian University or relevant degree qualification in a relevant subject. * Extensive experience in solution architecture with at least 5 years experience road mapping, architecting solutions, and providing governance and assurance for the * implementation of the solutions. * Experience working in complex and dynamic business and technical environments and in the integration of systems and applications. * Experience in the implementation of ICT projects, with a proven ability to conceptualise and analyse problems and to identify suitable solutions. * Demonstrated planning, research and development and product-based project * management skills, including experience developing and coordinating strategic planning processes. * Familiarity with basic graphical modelling approaches, tools and model repositories * The successful candidate may be required to travel within the Greater Urban Area and to work outside normal business hours from time to time. * The scope of the services may change over time and become involved in other projects. * The Transport Management Centre is a secure working environment.
