This Melbourne based engineering consultancy is a global leader in engineering, project management and infrastructure consulting. The organisation's operations include a range of civil engineering markets such as Transport, Property, Land Development, Environment and Energy. Their experience in rail includes track, signals, overhead wiring and related infrastructure. Due to growth within their Melbourne team, there is a new opportunity for a Senior Design Manager to join their growing Melbourne Rail team.
In this role you will be responsible for project managing the delivery of consultancy services to rail clients including feasibility and concept design, detailed design and documentation, procurement advice, site support services and investigations, and other advisory services. You will be responsible for the commercial and business management of services to rail clients, and contribute to developing and maintaining their rail project management capability. You will also contribute to developing and maintaining standards and procedures, and contribute significantly to business development, proposals and tendering.
To be successful in this role, you will need significant experience in project managing rail consultancy projects within a multidisciplinary environment. You will need experience in:
-Delivering rail services on time, on budget and to the satisfaction of the client
-Delivering technical services within a commercial and business environment
-Project management within a multi-disciplinary environment, including some experience in leadership and mentoring
-Developing and/or managing a rail project management capability
-Business development, proposals and tendering
