IT Project Manager Job in Australia

This includes developing and tracking detailed plans for delivery of areas of responsibility, manage the finance and vendor costs of the project.

In addition you will be:

-Actively involved in the management of solution delivery utilising established principles and frameworks
-Managing the day to day aspects of the IT Project schedule and engagement with the IT Vendors
-Working with the Project Director, plan and execute the necessary changes for the implementation and ongoing operation of the key deliverables
-Setting strategic direction and objectives for managing vendor delivery and the relationship between vendors and the program
-Reviewing internal change requests and analysis documentation and act as a liaison with the vendor to secure changes and approvals to the agreement scope
-Developing a plan for engaging new vendors
-Identifying risk factors, risk mitigation strategies, necessary security tasks and other measures to minimize disruption to the project during vendor's delivery
Skills and experience required:

-Minimum 10 years experience as a Project Manager (with a good mix of website development, infrastructure and applications development projects)
-Proven experience in managing projects with approved budgets of more than $5m
-Solid background in engaging and managing vendors, contractors using formalised vendor management processes and procedures
-Familiar with XML Messaging concepts and design principles desirable
-Familiar with Oracle DBMS and identity and access management solutions desirable
-Experience with managing systems development projects involving web applications developed using Java/J2EE that utilise application Servers, messaging
-Proven experience in creating and delivering a complete range of IT project documents
-Solid communication skills
-Ability to develop a high level of rapport with stakeholders, team members
