Due to continued growth, our client, a leader in the Power and Energy sector, are looking for an Overhead Line Design Engineer with extensive civil/structural experience in Sub Transmission and Distribution Over head Design and Construct Projects in the region.
Role Duties will include but are not exclusive to;
-Performing detailed design for Overhead Line Projects - 66/22kV - throughout Australia
-Assisting in Tenders and Proposals
-Overseeing Projects from concept through to Commissioning
-Client and stakeholder interfacing
-Projects may involve extensive travel and working away from home
Experience required;
-3 years + experience in the power industry, specializing on similar projects concerning Over head Power and Transmission lines from between 11kV to 132kV
-Consultancy or Utility based experience in Australia.
-Applied working knowledge of any of the following software packages; PLS-TOWER, PLS-POLE and PLS CADD.
-Multiple sector experience including utilities, mining and power generation would be highly regarded.
-Design and construct projects experience would be advantageous.
-An Electrical focus, rather than a civil or structural
-Extensive knowledge with pole configurations, clearance diagrams, insulator assemblies, OPGW assemblies, sag and tension tables and summary of materials.
-Knowledge of OH&S and Environmental Legislation and codes of practice
-RPEQ registered would be advantageous

-Motivated team player with the ability to work autonomously
-Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise work under pressure.
