The present requirement is for Engineers with primary and/or secondary experience in transmission and distribution systems and substations. A relevant tertiary qualification is necessary, as is a strong understanding of Australian standards. Technical knowledge of substations design, transmission lines, power systems studies, dynamic/transient studies, grid connections, relays, auxiliary systems, cables etc will be highly regarded. Presentation skills and the ability to win clients over will be key. Inherent in this type of firm is the proclivity to manage multiple projects and clients concurrently, working at the highest percentage of utilisation as possible. Having a strong belief in ethical practices is important, and the capacity to communicate and liaise with all levels of a large global firm will place you in a positive position.
