Our client is a leading engineering, construction, asset and operations services provider in the oil and gas industry. We are seeking the services of an enthusiastic lead piping engineer to join the engineering team in Manilla, Philippines.You will be responsible and have experience in the following: -Experience in piping design through all phases of the project which include concept development, FEED, detail design and commissioning.
-Lead and project manage various projects of various complexities. Duties will include develop and update job plans, submission of proposals, estimations and develop reviews and specifications.
- Interface with project disciplines and client representatives.
-Performs checks, calculations, specifies equipment and solves problems of various complexities.
-Reviews specifications and drawings, vendor equipment and forms resolutions.
-Supervise and lead and mentor less experienced engineers.
-Responsible for the engineering and execution for packages.
-Monitors work done by other affiliated offices or other designated entities.
-Directs and oversee audits and peer reviews.
-Procurement and construction contract packages.
-Oversee the quality of the engineering deliverables.
-Be able to ensure the implementation of the project engineering procedures.
-Liaise with engineering and technical personnel to ensure project goals are met.
-Manage the completion of performance and acceptance tests where required.
-Preparing and issuing weekly/monthly Progress reports.
-Liaise with other disciplines on design, construction and commissioning issues.
-Other related duties / functions as directed by the reporting manager.
The following key skills and experience are essential: -Relevant tertiary qualifications in Mechanical engineering.
-RPEQ qualifications are essential.
-Excellent communication and time management skills.
-Can do attitude with strong knowledge of Australian industry standards, codes, design practices and quality standards.
-Ability to handle a varied and demanding role.
-Experience within the oil and gas industry in an EPCM environment.
