Primary HV Substation Design Engineer Job in Melbourne (Victoria, Australia)

Our Client provides high-performance trains, equipment and transit system solutions. They offer the world's railways the broadest portfolio in the industry. Our client has an immediate requirement for Power Supply and Distribution engineers for their rail team.

Responsibilities:

-Prepare all necessary design for PS&D systems
-Manage, direct and coordinate all design activities for power supply and distribution of all internal/external suppliers and regulatory authorities.
-Design documentation for Substations and Overhead line within a timeframe.
-Provide the necessary data to interface/integration team for the PS&D systems.
-Ensure review of design in timely manner and that all data from PS&D is collected and available for the compliance matrix process
-Ensure review of testing procedures to be handed-over to T&C manager.
-Provide the overall input for progress and status report on monthly basis.
-Provide technical support to QA/QC team for inspection during installation.

Qualifications :

-BSc Engineering Preferred or equivalent education
-Registered electrical engineer with license/approval for Queensland.
-Minimum of 5 years experience in Railway project
-Strong design capability in PS&D systems of LRV transit systems.
