We are seeking a motivated Junior Technical Support Technician to deliver solutions predominately in a remote setting with a view for promotion to progress into a field technician position through self development and growth in future. This organisation provides total IT & Communication solutions to over 700 clients across Melbourne. Their proven formula for complete IT solutions is second to none and a fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a small team of Technicians. The primary focus of the role is the delivery of Tier One and Tier Two technical solutions.Job responsibilities include: -Building and maintaining customer relationships via telephone contact -Supply laptops, desktops and servers - install and service hardware/software -Migration of data, configure client specific applications -Trouble shooting, anti virus, back up and remote access setup and service -With training, installation of small business and standard servers; configure, deploy and maintain Microsoft Exchange.The successful applicant will have: -Hands on and technical proficiency of IT solutions and support - Predominantly Microsoft client/server environments Microsoft Windows Server and Small Business Servers including Exchange, AD, WSUS IIS etc -Proficiency with servers and server configuration, solid knowledge of LANs, WANs, VPNs, TCP/IP -Experience in PC fault diagnosis and repairs -The ability to think laterally, learn quickly and communicate clearly and effectively with clients both verbally and written -A resourceful 'can do attitude' with high attention to detail, a customer focused individual -A desire for excellence in providing high level customer service to a diverse range of clients -Driver's license, willingness to obtain 'Working with Children' & Police checks -Flexibility to work 8:45am - 5:30pm, with occasional emergency work. -University/TAFE qualifications and or Microsoft Certification would be ideal, however solid employment within a similar role will suit.The ongoing success of this company is built upon the founding Director's passion to build a supportive, team orientated environment.
