Excellent opportunity with worldwide leaders in their Industry seeks a Network Administrator to join their growing team. This is a 6-12 month contract role with a highly reputable company in Perths CBD.You will be a key member of the Infrastructure Team that provides technical support to the business. Responsibilities include design and availability, performance of Networks, including LANs, WANs, Voice and security. Additional responsibilities include: -Managing all IT network systems, including LAN, WAN, related systems. -Support, monitor, test and troubleshoot network systems. -Performing and coordinating effective installation and performance of networking devices. -Install new IOS release, evaluate and install IOS patches and resolve software related problems. -Analyse network components and make recommendations regarding Network systems performance. -Work with a team to automate management tasks, streamline processes and perform standard administration functions as needed. -Maintain effective relationships with external suppliers to ensure the appropriate levels of support. -Integrate with Security operations on a regular basis to ensure best security practices are adhered to. -Monitor and test back up links for failover in the event of an unplanned outage. -Must be able and willing to travel (air) to maintain remote networks. -Provide technical input to design discussions for future upgrades and remediation work. Experience required for this role:
To be successful you will need to demonstrate specialist technical knowledge and experience in Cisco and or HP LAN/ WAN Network design, management and operations principles, network structure and facilities. This would include switching, transmission and customer access technology, information systems and product /service support systems. To be considered for the role you will demonstrate: -3+ years in IT technical roles and network support and Consulting. -Design, analysis, development and implementation support of data networks. -Good organisational, communication skills and the ability to foster strong relationships with clients. -Voice technologies with experience in Call Manager or Call Manager express (Not essential). -Experience in design, implementation and support of WAN, LAN, Switching. Cisco Qualification CCNA minimum, CCNP/CCDP and any HP Networking Certifications preferred. |
