We are currently looking for an energetic Assistant Manager to join a dynamic team and lead the Customer Service/Sales Team at the Ultimo branch. Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Assistant Manager will be responsible for front of house management, and also management of the web team. This position is best suited to candidates that love to think on their feet, a juggler of tasks and somebody who has a flare for merchandising and going the extra mile to help a customer to achieve sales results. The Assistant Manager forms part of the Senior Management Team at the branch and will meet regularly with the Branch Manager and Inventory Manager/Senior Buyer for planning and review sessions to ensure the branch meets all targets and goals. Key Responsibilities: Work with and lead the front of house and web teams to maximise profitable sales through effective merchandising and sales techniques Manage branch day to day Customer Service/Sales Team operations and branch maintenance/O H & S issues -Support to Branch Manager including completion of key projects and branch management in absence of Branch Manager -Active involvement in branch planning with Branch Manager and Inventory Manager/Senior Buyer -Recruitment, training and support of the branch Team Leaders, Booksellers and Web Team -Rush planning and casual recruitment/training Previous Experience Required: -Staff mgmt of 5 + employees in a retail environment -Passion for multi tasking and achieving goals -Professional and excellent communicator Desirable Experience: -Pronto knowledge -Windows/Outlook knowledge If you believe you have what it takes and are ready to take the next step in your career, apply now!
