Our client, a large state government department is seeking the services of an experienced ICT Configuration Manager on an initial 3 month contract with possible extension.
The Role:
In this role you will coordinate and deliver ICT Service Asset and Configuration Management services across a large network environment. You will maintain the configuration management database and be responsible for the lifecycle management of all IT infrastructure (hardware and software). Your expert process advice, experience in mapping, and service delivery will be essential.
Reporting to the ICT Change and Configuration Manager you will liaise with other IT personnel, departmental management and external providers.
Key Responsibilities:
-Provide timely and effective ICT service asset and configuration management services, including expert process advice on the configuration management database and software asset management.
-Liaise with and work collaboratively with managers and senior staff and maintain effective interfaces with all functional areas within IT and the business.
-Coordinate the provision of a comprehensive, efficient and effective asset and configuration management service including management of the asset management lifecycle, content management database and software library.
-Facilitating all reporting requirements relating to service asset and configuration management services including TCO (total cost of ownership) charging and performance reporting.
-Develop, implement and maintain best practice policies, procedures, processes and standards for ICT service asset and configuration management including software asset management, software maintenance renewals and reporting processes.
Skills Required:
-At least 3 years experience in ICT service delivery management with specific skills in asset and configuration management activities
-Proven understanding and implementation of ITIL practices
-Solid experience in the planning, design and delivery of configuration management services including the management of the asset management lifecycle and software asset management and maintenance.
-Ability to plan, organise and schedule work to achieve tight timeframes and customer requirements.
-High level communication skills (both verbal and written), including the provision of expert advice on service asset and configuration management issues.
-Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and developing strong client relationships. |
