Compiler & Junior Classifier required for European Freight Forwarder Job in Australia

Our client is a large and well known International Freight & Logistics company with a strong Asian and European presence in particular! Due to substantial growth they are currently seeking a compiler or junior classifier to complement their existing team. Experience with Chapters 84 & 85 of the Tariff would be a distinct advantage!

Your key function is to assist the customs manager, customs brokers and senior classifiers prepare customs clearance declarations for submission to customs.

Duties will include:

-Accurately compile/classify & value import and export products
-Accurately update systems databases with appropriate information
-Ensure shipments are cleared within specified timeframes
-Liaise professionally with customers, internal and external
-Respond to all queries in a timely manner
-Maintain and promote company culture at all times
-Arrange Cartage
-Arrange AQIS & ACS inspections when/if required
Experience & Skills Required:

-Minimum 1-2 years compiling and/or classifying experience
-Ideally you will have finished or currently be completing a recognised customs course
-Excellent communication and presentation
-A business focused mind and the drive to succeed
-Advanced computer skills
