-Controlling project design, planning and implementation activities associated with marketing database & CRM development projects.
-Establishing and managing effective project operations to deliver solutions that meet and exceed client expectations.
-Providing hands-on technical leadership and mentoring the Development team.
-Defining, sourcing & managing project resources.
-Overseeing project schedules to ensure that necessary modules and programs are completed according to the project plan.
-Oversee the management of issues, risks, dependencies and changes in scope associated with projects.
-Oversee the preparation and management of project budgets.
-Recruit and performance manage the Development team
-Plan & oversee staff training
-Provide input into IT strategies & policies
-Review and recommend improvement in marketing database, CRM solutions and related methods, tools and techniques to continuously improve productivity and quality
-Oversee the maintenance of marketing database & CRM products and platforms
-Provide support to the Sales & Account Management teams as required
Ensure OH&S policies and procedures are adhered to
What you'll need to do the job:
-At least 7-10 years of experience in commercial IT with at least 3-5 years experience in a team leadership capacity
-5 years experience with marketing databases and CRM systems
-Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or related discipline
-In-depth knowledge of documentation, coding and testing across several different development languages.
-Ability to translate user needs into technical solutions.
-Strong project, people and technical leadership skills.
-Strong experience in people management and mentoring of the development team.
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
-Strong ETL design & development skills
-Strong SQL server skills
-Experience with Business Intelligence Tools (eg Cognos)
-Software Development Methodology
-Systems Analysis & Design
-QA Procedures - Business System Documentation
