This national insurer is increasing their presence in Perth; you could be their new underwriter. If you have current experience as an underwriter in commercial lines, especially motor, property, liability or construction then you will fit right in.

Even though you will be working with development underwriters and BDMs your efficiency and personality will go further than simply filling out slips; you will build relationships with your brokers to get more and more of their business. You will be the dedicated underwriter for your portfolio of brokers. Working within your delegated authority you will underwrite multi-line accounts including motor, liability, construction and property.

In this role you will:
-Work with BDMs as the underwriter for your own broking clients
-Be proactive with your brokers to be able to win more business and offer better coverage
-Refer underwriting for other classes of business
-Work independently and as part of a small team
-Underwrite multi-line accounts (property, motor, liability, construction)
You need to have:
-Current underwriting experience across multiple commercial product lines (motor, property, construction, liability, etc)
-Strong client management experience
-Good loss ratios
-Ability to get on with the job with minimal supervision
-Good negotiation skills
