We are currently seeking an IT Security Engineer. You will have the opportunity to work in the banking and finance sector for a very friendly company in the CBD. The primary purpose of the IT Security Engineer is to implement and maintain security infrastructure and software in alignment with security processes, policies, regulatory and compliance requirements coupled with alignment to business requirements.
You must be able to:
-Lead, drive and manage the progressive implementation of Information Security Policy
-Progressive implementation of an Information Security Administration program
-Manage the Change Management Process
-Develop Information Security, IT Operational & Business operational procedures
About the role:
-Minimum 5 years experience
-Reporting/auditing, tracking/progressing compliance lists independently
-Implement software and infrastructure that improves IT security
-Ensure documentation is in place across all processes
-Complete all agreed audit and risk recommendations
-Deliver security services to the business in a timely and efficient manner
-Recent experience working as an IT Security Specialist/Engineer
-Relevant security qualifications considered highly advantageous
-Proven experience in the design implementation and support of IT Security Services
Key skills required:
-Experience across Symantec Anti Virus protection, Juniper and Checkpoint Firewalls, Enterprise Internet Proxies, End Point Encryption, PKI, Symantec SSIM and Two Factor Authentication (or similar technologies)
-Experience in ISO 27000/31000 and ITIL
-Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
-Good communication skills and enthusiasm
