General Manager

Our client is currently seeking a 'General Manager' for their rapidly expanding renovation training organisation.

The owner/Director is one of Australia's most successful renovators; she has developed specific strategies and systems to ensure extremely profitable renovations, all the time. She now provides "renovation training" to others to ensure they have the right skills and knowledge to make substantial money in real estate. The company's workshops will give you clear direction and the step by step instructions on everything you need to know on property renovation.
This fantastic opportunity has arisen due to two aspects - the giant strides in company expansion and the commitments of the Owner to concentrate on growth in other areas of the business.

Duties to include:

-Develop strategic and operational goals and performance benchmarks for the business in conjunction with the Director.
-Manage and improve individual business unit functions and develop appropriate metrics to measure the effectiveness of activities across the business assuming full profit and loss.
-Lead and create a marketing driven organisation responsive to customer needs.
-Improve and refine the current company structure and staff competencies.
-Initiate change to ensure the Company utilises contemporary and emerging information and communication technologies to maximise business returns and minimise risk.
-Leads and develop high performing team and set key performance indicators for all staff - both full time and part time.
-Manage the HR and OH&S functions of the business.
-Establish and maintain effective partner relationships.
-Develop, manage and maintain an effective budget and ensure cost control i9n conjunction with the Accounts Manager.Essential skills and experiences:

-Bachelor Degree in business related discipline.
-Demonstrated senior management experience
-Sound business knowledge
-Sound knowledge of financial/accounting and marketing principles.
-Budgetary skills
-Knowledge of Australian legislation impacting business operations - corporate governance regulations, employment legislation - OH&S and general business law.
