Reporting to the Managing Director and/or CEO, the main duties of this Senior Project Engineer include, but are not limited to the following: -Responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of the project including the managing and reporting of time and budget as well resources, sub-contractors, suppliers and the client -Direct and manage all facets of project development from beginning to end; -Coordinate all required activities on projects; -Plan, schedule, conduct and assign work to Project Engineers, if applicable -Monitor engineering work and design for safety and quality compliance (to include legislative, standards, codes) and accepted engineering practices; -Ensure effective and open communication between all project members and key stakeholders; -Assist with the control budget to meet 'in budget' result; -Assist with the management of the BOM; -Assist with the management of all facets of system design; -Assist with the management of the delivery, installation, commissioning and hand-over to client/s; -Manage training for clients on system; -Deliver project and close-out on any non-conformances; -Participate in client meetings; help resolve client, engineering and/or management project issues in a timely and professional manner -Be actively involved with Safety and Quality on each project assigned You will possess: -Must possess a minimum Bachelor's degree in BE (mechanical, chemical or civil) or equivalent from a recognized university; -"At least 5 years Australian experience" as a Project Engineer preferably in areas of water, chemical, food, mining or wastewater industries is a must -Specific knowledge in areas of water/wastewater engineering including biology would be desirable -Flexible hours are required depending on client and company needs -Interstate and overseas travel may be required -Must have a current valid driver's license and current valid passport -Must be able to perform work under a wide range of conditions; -Must be able to strictly follow and adhere to safe working practices and Health & Safety protocols While the job is based in their Brisbane office, the successful candidate will be working on active sites controlling projects and as such the person may be out of the office locally, interstate or overseas.
