The branch is responsible for performance reporting, including project and strategic risk identification and management, working with line divisions on reforms and local governance. Our client is looking for an experienced APS6 to start immediately in the new year. In return you will get the chance to work on the implementation of new statutory authorities in relation to reforms in this sector across federal and state based governments and rolling out nationally. This position consists of a variety of tasks including: -Assisting with the implementation and establishment of reform projects with other Commonwealth agencies, the states and territories, and key stakeholders. -Supporting the establishment of the governance, management, corporate and administrative arrangements for agencies and stakeholders; -Working on projects associated with the establishment of the agencies (eg financial frameworks, systems and the transition from departmental administration to agency administration); -Assisting with the preparation of responses to requests for information from departmental officers and from external stakeholders; -Drafting briefings, minutes and other correspondence as required; and -Providing secretariat support as required. The successful candidate will have the following: -Well developed policy or program management, planning and organizational skills to manage competing priorities and work to strict deadlines to deliver high quality outcomes in a challenging environment; -Well developed written skills to prepare papers, briefings, minutes and correspondence; -Good interpersonal skills and experience in liaising and negotiating with both internal and external stakeholders; and -Sound research, conceptual, and analytical skills.
