Our client is a well known not-for-profit organisation operating throughout Australia dedicated to helping people, providing training and offering a range of community services. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for a range of financial and management activities.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Analyse revenue and expenditure trends and ensure cost control;
- Assist in the development of organisation budgets;
- Development and implementation of accounting control procedures;
- Preparation of profit & loss statements, balance sheets and monthly closing;
- Resolve accounting discrepancies and reconcile all balance accounts sheet monthly;
- Supervise the input and handling of financial data and systems;
- Board paper preparation;
- Interact with external auditors in completing audits; and
- Ensure compliance with GST and FBT.
CA/CPA qualified, you have a minimum of 4-5 years accounting experience. You will be a generalist with a mix of financial and management accounting experience and superior attention to detail.
