Our client is a well known not-for-profit organisation operating throughout Australia dedicated to helping people, providing training and offering a range of community services. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for a range of financial and management activities. Key responsibilities of this role include: - Analyse revenue and expenditure trends and ensure cost control; - Assist in the development of organisation budgets; - Development and implementation of accounting control procedures; - Preparation of profit & loss statements, balance sheets and monthly closing; - Resolve accounting discrepancies and reconcile all balance accounts sheet monthly; - Supervise the input and handling of financial data and systems; - Board paper preparation; - Interact with external auditors in completing audits; and - Ensure compliance with GST and FBT. CA/CPA qualified, you have a minimum of 4-5 years accounting experience. You will be a generalist with a mix of financial and management accounting experience and superior attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required for dealing with all levels of stakeholders, both internally and externally.
