-Initial 6 month contract -Redfern location -Early January start An experienced Business Analyst with a strong customer service focus, and experience across the full SDLC is required for software application based projects in this large organisation located in Redfern. You will elicit, validate and document user requirements for the development of new, and enhancements to existing, applications and systems. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: -Developing mock-ups and prototypes of user interface designs, and assist in reviewing user interface designs. -Stakeholder engagement, including project clients and end users. -Assisting in the assessment of vendor proposals and subsequent vendor management during acquisition and delivery. -Developing and maintaining technical documentation associated with ICT systems. -Providing support in the continuous improvement of the software development processes. You will have: -5+ years experience gathering, analysing and documenting work practices and user requirements for greenfield and Legacy system ICT projects. -2+ years experience with system design, development, programming and/or coding. -Demonstrated experience with the practical application of a business analysis framework. -An understanding and ability UML, including use cases, activity diagrams and other UML artefacts. -Experience with UML software tools. -PRINCE2 certification is desired. -Knowledge in BPMN or similar business process/rules/workflow. -Knowledge and understanding of programming languages, scripts, XML, multi-tiered architectures, web systems, data management, databases, SQL, versioning and defect tracking. -Tertiary/degree qualification in computer systems engineering, computer science or other relevant profession. High level interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to manage project stakeholders and build effective working relationships at all levels.
