The ANU College of Asia and the Pacific leads intellectual engagement with the Asia-Pacific region through research, teaching and contributions to public debate. The ANU College of Asia and the Pacific are currently seeking an experienced professional to come on board in the position of Philanthropic Development & Alumni Relations Manager to establish and coordinate philanthropic fundraising for the College. Working closely with ANU Alumni Relations and Philanthropy, your main objectives will be to contribute substantially to the philanthropic engagement and alumni relations of the College; significantly building a non-traditional funding base that will allow the College to further its research and educational objectives. To be successful in this position, you will have relevant tertiary qualifications and the following skills and attributes: -Extensive experience in successful corporate fundraising, public relations and/or corporate development, preferably within a University context; -A strong track record in strategy development and implementation; -High level written and verbal communications with a proven ability to write comprehensive reports and compelling proposals; -Excellent relationship management and client liaison with second to none negotiation skills; -An ability to work well both within a team environment and autonomously; -High attention to detail; and -A demonstrated high level of understanding of equal opportunity principles and commitment to the application of EO policies in the university context. As the successful applicant, your key duties will include: -Working closely with ANU Alumni Relations and Philanthropy, taking responsibility for developing and implementing the strategic plan for philanthropic development and alumni engagement for the College; -Providing strategic advice and support to executive staff in regards to alumni relations, fundraising, philanthropy and philanthropy engagement; -Assisting with college related priority fundraising and events on a strategic and operational level; -Providing relationship management and client liaison within the college community; and -Maintaining high professional standards including reporting, donor stewardship and records management.
