Family Store Manager Job in Queensland, Australia

Duties and Responsibilities:

Being responsible for the administrative work of the store - bankings, til readings, sign on/off book and time sheets
Ensure all risk control management and occupational health and safety standards are maintained.
To ensure that the store is operated strictly according to Salvation Army policy and procedures (ie pricing, the treatment of gifts and donations and the sale of such items).
Oversee the truck drivers duties.
To organize sorting, pricing and distribution of stock, ensuring that surpluses do not become excessive.
To monitor sales, trends and performance, stock movements, the supply of stock to the other family store in High Street.
Ensure that the store is kept clean and tidy.
To recruit, train and supervise volunteer staff where appropriate and to keep volunteers and staff informed of new developments, policies and strategies via regular staff meetings.
To receive all requests for emergency welfare relief referred to the store by the Welfare Officer and offer appropriate assistance to those in need.
Comply with all Salvation Army Occupational Health, Safety and Rehabilitation Policies and Procedures.
Involvement in regular staff meetings and meetings with the Corps Officers.
