-Government Department -June 2012 Contract -Interesting ProjectThis large Government Department is looking for a high level project manager to manage a construction project through to the end of June 2012 with view for further extension. In this role you will: -Manage a complex construction project; -Assume responsibility in key areas such as risk and issues management, requirements management and project management plans and governance plans; -Undertake high-level stakeholder consultations including cross agency clients/customer and international companies; -Identify and manage inter-project/program dependencies. -Manage project budget and prepare project financial forecasts; and -Manage project schedules and interdependencies -Work as part of public sector client side team and assist with general duties as required. In order to be considered you must have the following skills/experience: -Australian Commonwealth or State government sector delivery experience. -Experience in managing and/or administering large construction projects. -Excellent communication skills including a proven track record liaising with business to negotiate outcomes, and an ability to present at executive level committees and boards. -Proven track record delivering quality project governance documentation including risk assessments, status reports, project proposals, project plans and project change requests. -Professionally recognised qualification in project management.
