Our client is a mid tier civil contractor who have been delivering civil infrastructure projects nationally for over 50yrs, due to growth within the business they are now seeking a diligent and motivated Estimator to join their friendly and motivated team. Ideal skill: -You will have a minimum 3 years estimating experience within civil contracting. -Ideally you will be tertiary qualified, however this is not essential. A proven track record in securing successful work will be highly regarded, as will the ability to navigate estimating systems. -Excellent written and verbal skills are required for this role.
Responsibilities :
Tender preparation and negotiation incorporating first principal and sub contractor pricing.Sub contractor pricing for tenders.Development of bill of quantities for input to budgets. -Participate in negotiations on contract variations.Providing advice to the project team on work methods and pricing. -As you will be dealing with various stakeholders, you must have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, as well as be flexible and well organised.
