Our client has won a number of tenders within power distribution and has more on the way next year. They now require an additional team member to lead the Design Team.You will report directly to the Design Services Manager and lead a team of 7-10 designers. Your duties will include; -Management of Design Team
-Comply with company processes and procedures
-Client liaison, ensuring delivery expectations are met in regards to service, quality and timeline
-Ensure the financial viability of the team
-Quality assurance
-Provide training and mentoring to designers of all levels
-Plan, organise and control design activities within the Business Unit
To be successful, you will demonstrate; -Expert level knowledge of over head (132kV) and underground (132kV) lines, distribution and subtransmission systems including zone substations
-Experience in team management and mentoring of staff
-Experience in budget preparation, profit/loss analysis and forecasting
-Attention to detail
-Highly developed communication skills including negotiation
-Current driver s license
