Excellent prospects.We are currently recruiting for an experienced Contracts Administrator to join the Brisbane office of one of Australia's foremost Engineering & Construction Contractors. Their work is mainly within Oil & Gas, Mining and Water infrastructure and covers full project life cycle - Design, construction, installation, commissioning, operations and maintenance.
With a number of major projects currently underway and several in the pipeline there is a requirement for a talented and experienced Procurement Officer/Buyer to join their Brisbane based procurement team. You will help ensure all requirements for the purchase of materials and services are identified, authorized and actioned in accordance with project objectives.
The role will encompass a broad range of duties including but not limited to:
-Executing and finalising purchasing and procurement strategies that achieve superior supply and service delivery at optimum value
-Negotiating pricing, terms and conditions of sale with key suppliers and negotiations at a high level
-budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
-Negotiating and agreeing/administering contracts with local and overseas suppliers. Ideally you will have experience of Purchasing, Materials Control & Expediting within an EPCM environment. Any relevant tertiary level qualifications or memberships eg Institute of Purchasing and Supply will be an advantage.
