Our client is Australia's largest building and construction materials supplier with operations in all states and territories. The company operates through four main operating divisions: Building Products, Cement, Construction Materials and Construction Related Businesses. They have leading industry position in each of these divisions producing a wide range of building products. The Maintenance Team Leader role reports into the Plant Manager and is responsible for ensuring you will lead a team of skilled technicians to schedule and execute maintenance tasks. In addition you will work closely with production teams to maintain plant integrity and support achievement of production goals Ideally the succesful applicant would have the following experience: -Trade qualified - preferably Fitter background with a minimum of 3 year's experience in the Trade -Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred, in Fitter and/or supervisory roles -Exposure to working on shift work and/or afternoon shift -Worked with or has a basic understanding of Budgets, and preferably reported on costs and KPI's, downtime trends etc.. -Self motivated with drive and initiative -Experience in the supervision of small crews/teams (up to 5 people) desirable -Demonstrated strong commitment to complying with and communicating OHS&E best practices -Sound communication skills - will need to liaise with site staff/management/operators, suppliers and contractors etc.. -Able to quickly respond to, assess and address breakdown issues -Has a logical process for solving problems (exposure to 5-whys, RCA or other tools would be an advantage) -Exposure to Maintenance Scheduling and Planning of Preventative Maintenance, Shuts, Projects etc -Able to conduct stocktakes and order stock as required -Competently operate computers - DataBase and standard Microsoft applications essential -Flexible with hours (overtime and weekend work is required occasionally) -Experience or exposure to LEAN Manufacturing environment and process would be a distinct advantage -Must be willing to undertake Working at Heights and Confined Space training for this roleOther notes regarding this position: -This is a Full Time Position being offered which is subject to a probationary period of up to six (6) months.
