How To Clear Your Browser Cache

Note : Following the instructions below will result in deletion of Cookie and History information and you should only proceed if you are happy with this.



Internet Explorer 5.0

1.Click “Tools” in the browser menu at the top.
2.Click “Internet Options” which will open a small window.
3.Click “Delete Files” button, which will open a small window.
4.Put a tick in the box “Delete all offline content” and click “OK”
5.Click “Clear History” button.
6.Close the current browser window.




Internet Explorer 6.0

1.Click “Tools” in the browser menu at the top.
2.Click “Internet Options” which will open a small window.
3.Click “Delete Files” button, which will open a small window.
4.Put a tick in the box “Delete all offline content” and click “OK”
5.Click “Clear History” button.
6.Click “Delete Cookies” button.
7.Close the current browser window.




Internet Explorer 7.0 and above

1.Click “Tools” in the browser menu at the top.
2.Click “Internet Options” which will open a small window.
3.Click “Delete” button in the "Browser History" section, which will open a small window.
4.Put a tick in the box “Temporary Internet File”
5.Put a tick in the box “Cookies”
6.Put a tick in the box “History”
7.Click the “Delete” button.
8.Click the “OK” button.
9.Close the current browser window.




Netscape Navigator 7.0

1.Click “Edit” in the browser menu at the top.
2.Click “Preferences” which will open a small window.
3.Double click “Advanced” option in the left pane, which will give a list of sub-options.
4.Click on “Cache” from the sub-options in the left pane.
5.Click on “Clear Memory Cache” in the right pane.
6.Click on “Clear Disk Cache” in the right pane.
7.Click “Navigator” in the left pane, which will give a list of sub-options.
8.Click “History” in the left pane.
9.Click “Clear History” in the right pane.
10.Close the current browser window.




Firefox 2.0 and above

1.Click “Tools” in the browser menu at the top.
2.Click "Clear Recent History” which will open a small window.
3.Select “Everything" in the "Time Rage to Clear” option.
4.Put a tick in the box “Browsing and Download History”
5.Put a tick in the box “Cookies”
6.Put a tick in the box "Cache"
6.Put a tick in the box "Active Logins"
6.Put a tick in the box "Site Preferences"
8.Click the “Clear Now” button.
9.Close the current browser window.




Google Chrome

1.Click “Tools” (Spanner Icon) in the browser menu at the top.
2.Click "Options” which will open a small window.
3.Select “Personal" tab.
4.Click the “Clear Browsing Data” button which will open a small window.
5.Put a tick in the box “Browsing History”
6.Put a tick in the box “Download History”
7.Put a tick in the box "Empty the Cache"
8.Put a tick in the box “Delete Cookies”
9.Select "Everything" from the "Clear data from this period" option. 10.Click the “Clear Browsing Data” button.
11.Click the “Close” button.
12.Close the current browser window.
